Just read that Oprah is being sued for having fired a pregnant employee! Autch, Oprah, now I really got disappointed;=( This is totally NOT ok, if this is true!

Here´s the article from TMZ:

Former executive claims she was fired from Oprah Winfrey's television network because she was pregnant

Oprah Winfrey's cable network is being sued for sex and disability discrimination by the company's former senior director of Scheduling and Acquisitions.
Carolyn Hommel claims the company refused to pay her vacation time as well as overlooking her for a promotion to Vice President at the company because she was pregnant.
In the suit, Hommel claims she suffered from 'acts of oppression, fraud, or malice' from OWN and Michael Scott Garner, the network's SVP of Planning Scheduling and Acquisitions.

  3. The media in our day is everything but not family supporting. Even in the TV shows and serials it so trendy to be alone, to be single, and it is kinda moldy to have a normal family, with normal kids. To be honest, I am not surprised at all, and I can imagine it is truth. The media is money-orientated, and children are the opposite. I know what I am talking about, because I am working in the media. Sad, but fact.

  4. I suspect the woman just happened to be pregnant, and the pregnancy was unrelated to her termination. She found herself pregnant, and jobless, so found some good legal help. The States is a very money-motivated country, and this kind of things happens all the time. Just think of the person who sued Subway for false advertisement because their footlong subs were slightly less than a foot long.

Of course, if it was true, I would also be very surprised, that Oprah would go into this kind of discrimination. Especially because she is a woman.

  5. I think fire a woman because she is pregnant is terrible and unjustifiable and if the person who did this is another woman is even worse. What kind of society is this where you can not have a family if you wanna have a job?

  7. Hi Anette!

I would like to ask you some question.

Because lot of people in Poland are wondering why Nw kick you out from band. We have many conspiracy theories.
One of the most likely is that you was pregnant and you wanted to have break, but band still wanted to earn money on tour. Another option is that you wanted to do solo career, but band didn't accept it.

    Could you solve our problem?

I would be grateful if you will answer me :)

    Big hugs.
    Ola.
